Women's Depression & Anxiety Group with DBT Skills Session I

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specific type of therapy focused on skill building to improve multiple areas of our lives, including living in the present, handling overwhelming emotions, creating emotional stability, and improving how we interact with others.  This DBT group is broken down into four sections: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.  Each section will run for 6 weeks, making one cycle about a 6 month process.

Kids Emotional Intelligence Group

What is emotional intelligence? It’s the ability to be aware of the emotions we have, how to express, and manage them.  As kids, it can be scary and confusing to have strong feelings and not know what to do with them.  At times, it can look like “acting out” because we have not learned how to communicate ourselves.  This group will help children learn about a wide range of emotions and how to work with them.  They will be involved in interactive lessons about emotions and learn ways to express themselves that will help them thrive.
