What is individual counseling?

Individual counseling is about developing self-awareness, solving problems, and unlocking your untapped potential. Healing Moments Counseling offers clients a safe place to be seen and heard while employing client-centered practices that individualize each counseling experience.

Individual therapy can help you learn how to:

  • Move closer to your personal, career, and relationship goals

  • Cope effectively with stress and worry

  • Overcome depression and anxiety

  • Process trauma and grief

  • Make fundamental changes in the way you think and feel

  • Create and establish healthy boundaries in relationships

  • Improve your social skills and your ability to connect to others

  • Improve self-care to become physically and emotionally healthier

  • Improve sleep quality

  • Increase your ability to communicate in a healthy way

How does Counseling work?

The first session's primary goal is to listen to your concerns and get to know you as an individual. Based on the information you provide, recommendations will be made regarding the focus, desired outcomes, frequency, and length of counseling. Your specific goals and personality type will determine the strategies and approaches used during counseling.
